“ Lovely and unexpected restaurant in such a little village. Heaven in your plate with delicate flavors in a beetroot/strawberry/tasty goat cheese salad and clever dressing with vinegar and honey, tasty hummus, great vegetable curry. Perfect music for a perfect moment of rest after walking the Camino. We’ll be back tonight to hear live music! ”
“ Excellent, delicious and healthy (veg) food in a comfortable atmosphere with nice music. I haven’t seen many such nice places on the Camino. The restaurant is right at the end of the village (Hornillos) ... walk past all the bars and albergues and restaurant and the church, and you get there. Worth skipping the more „traditional“ places. I had a pea & thyme soup, spinach pasta and a chocolate & banana cake. They also have hummus with organic vegetables, Indian dal, morokkan tagine and lots of other delicious sounding dishes. And Guinness, of course. ”
“ Delicious food - every course! Perfect for the end of the day. Really fresh ingredients and full of flavour - very tasty. Very friendly staff and a great G&T ”
“ I was so thrilled to find a vegetarian food with great vegan offerings in this super small town! Definite place to stop whether you're staying here or just passing through. The environment wasn't my favorite, I think they could do a lot to clean it up, but the food was great and the woman working at the place was super sweet. ”
“ Great night out, perfect spot to relax and have some fun, for a small town in middle of nowhere i did not expected this, amazing singer there!!! And good food***** ”
“ The Green Tree is quite truly an oasis. Run by Amy and Emma, two gorgeous sisters, they have created a safe haven on the Camino. The space is open, light filled, inspiring and deeply nourishing. Amy and Emma have poured hear and soul into it. There is also an incredible, and gifted massage therapist who works on a donation basis. The food is outstanding, the drinks are great, and everyone who walks through the door is left a little lighter and happier. Best, and healthiest meals we’ve had on the Camino in a smaller town. The space itself inspires tranquility, creativity, and a connection to self and community. Emma is a gorgeous singer, and most nights you’ll find an open mic. The artwork in and around the Green Tree is beautiful. The walls are full inspiring quotes and we were invited to add a bit on a very hard, emotional day. The kindness, love, compassion that were shown at the Green Tree will live, always. Deepest heartfelt thank you ”
“ This was one of the most wonderful experiences, Emma poured the Guinness how it's supposed to be done, cooked the dinner which was more than excellent (even though cheap as every meal on the Camino), there was live music, and all the time you felt that you were just part of the "family". Thank you so much. ”
“ The food at the Green Tree was very good. They even had vegetarian options. But what I remember mist was the best ever gin & tonic, great sangria, and wonderful entertainment by a woman who sang in at least 4 languages. ”
